November 2007

The content selection strategy report outlines our development in content selection policy. It focus on an editorial strategy for how to combine historical approaches of the study of television with the historical study of Europe. The report also proposes a number of editorial mechanisms for commissioning and quality assuring a range of articles between now and the project’s completion.

The first annual report covers the progress made in the first year of our project. It describes the main results and achievements on establishing the project structure, the user oriented activities and system oriented and validation activities.

The article “Providing Access to European Television Heritage” in the November Issue of the Ariadne online magazine provides an insight into the background and development of the Video Active Portal.
Ariadne is published every three months by UKOLN, the UK based centre of expertise in digital information management.
